Good Morning Scholars,
I hope you had a safe and relaxing weekend. Summer is just around the corner and students are looking forward to fun in the sun!  We still have a few more weeks left, so please hang in there and continue working hard and doing your best! Continue completing your assignments and turning them in on time. 
 
This week we will be working on TEK 5.8(C) analyzing plot elements. I've included a power point with a brief description of the elements of plot. 
Read the Story "On the Trail" and answer the questions that follow. You will have a chance to practice the skills you learned from last week of recognizing and using text features. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Good Morning HGA Scholars. I hope everyone and their families are doing well. In light of the latest educational learning plans, we will continue striving for success via our virtual online classrooms. Some of you are probably wondering what does that mean exactly, well it means that we will continue to do our lessons and assignments online!

Good Evening Scholars! I hope you had a Happy and Safe Easter Holiday Weekend!
For the upcoming week of April 13th thru April 17th, we will continue working on TEK 5.8.(a), infer multiple themes within a text using text evidence.
 
We will have two stories this week, Under the Rice Moon, and The Magic Lizard. As you are reading these stories be thinking about the characters, their actions, and lessons they learn by the end of the story. I've also included a few warm ups to help you get started. 
 
You will also get to create your own theme or thoughts and ideas that you have experienced in your online, classroom experiences over the past few weeks to share on Thursday in our Weekly Meeting.
