Earth Day Project Submission
Earth Day is this Wednesday April 22, 2020.
The scholar will make something either useful or decorative made out of recycle materials. The goal is to find things around the house that will be tossed in the trash and make something that can be useful or can be displayed for decoration. Some of the items that can be used are for example boxes, plastic bags, bottles, cans, paper and anything that you will typically throw away in the trash.
The scholar will take a picture of the project and write a brief description of what he or she used to make their creation. The scholar will attach a picture and fill out the attached google document with the description.

Plastic Wars FRONTLINE Documentary
Wednesday, April 22nd is the 50th celebration of Earth Day.
For the past three weeks we have been learning about our environment and the various ecosystems around us. In our readings we have learned about the different types of plants and animals that live in the seven ecosystems, as well as the human impact.
The attached YouTube video entitled, "Plastic Wars" informs viewers of the misconceptions on recycling plastic. The video talks about the misinformation spread by companies about plastic and how recycling is helping to lesson the environmental impact.
The video is 53 minutes long, and should be watched before starting on the Earth Day Project due at the end of this week.
Once you have finished the video use the attached google document sheet to submit a short paragraph about what you learned or found interesting while watching the documentary.
