Due:

Assignment

Good afternoon scholars! I am attaching your writing work for this week.  It is due Friday, April 10th.  Email me your work and as the SUBJECT write YOUR class period.
Directions:
Sentence Fragments 2
We have previously worked with sentence fragments, or as I call them "fake sentence". These sentences are missing either a subject or a verb or in some cases both.  Look at the first example on the worksheet as it is already done for you.  You are to RE-WRITE sentences 2-6 so they are COMPLETE.  REMEMBER!! There are multiple ways to rewrite a sentence so choose the one that best works for you.  Additionally, I will be taking off 1 point for every spelling, punctuation, and capitalization mistake. I have left a link under this last sentence for oyu to watch  in case you need to refresh yourself on this lesson

Review: Sentence Problems 1
On this assignment, you need to write either F for fragment, RO for run-on (FUSED SENTENCE), CS for comma splice, and R for rambling sentence. I am going to give youa hint: there is 1 RO, 1 CS, 2 R's, and 2 F's.  Once you identify each sentence, you are to rewrite it and correct it so there is no mistakes.  Again, I will take a point off for every mistake.  We have already covered this before in previous lesson. I will leave a link under so you can watch and refresh your mind on what is a rambling sentence.

PS: Please email me this work in one email as it will be combined for ONE grade. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, let me know!! Thank you!!

Due:

Due:

Assignment

This assignment was deleted yesterday.  Many of you, scholars, were not able to complete it; therefore, I am extending the deadline to tomorrow by midnight.  ALL assignments, as of now, will be turned in the same way, typed via Microsoft Word and emailed to me.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Directions:

PRETEST: SHIFTS IN CONSTRUCTIONS

I should only see the answers on your paper and not the entire answer, unless you want to copy down everything. You copy down the first answer followed be the second word with your answer.  SO this is what I should see on your paper:

  1. you - you
  2. your - YOUR ANSWER
  3. headed - YOUR ANSWER

PRONOUN SHIFT

This section only has 5 questions.  YOU ONLY write down the answer.  This is what I should see on your paper:

  1. YOUR ANSWER
  2. YOUR ANSWER

SECOND PART of this section is a paragraph with a total of 10 lines.  You need to only write down the lines with mistakes. Some lines might not have a mistake; therefore, you do not need to write down that line.  This is what I should see on your paper:

  1. he or she has - they have
  2. you - they

If you notice here, I left line #1 out because line #1 has no mistakes.

If you need help, you can watch the two videos I have for this lesson.  You can click on the two links below and it will take you yo YouTube where you can watch the videos.
