Welcome to your online curriculum students.  Each week I will post two (2) assignments which should be completed and submitted by Thursday night.  (For example, the assignment posted Monday, March 23 will be due Thursday, March 26.)  Please spread the word to your fellow classmates, and if you have any questions please contact me through the following:

LAST ASSIGNMENT!!!

Your final assignment for the semester is here!!! It's been a journey this year, I appreciate those of you who stayed focused and diligent despite our circumstances.  Once you have finished and submitted ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!  If you have missing assignments be sure to submit by TUESDAY, May 19.  After that my gradebook is closed for the year.
 
***Those of you in my homeroom need to let me know if you are returning next school year.  If I do not hear from you by MONDAY I will be calling myself.

Week 8 TEST (Check your assignment grades)

The following assignment is a TEST grade, so be sure to show all of your work and do your best.
 
There will be no zoom meetings this week, so focus on the test.
 
Weeks 1-5 were due Sunday, May 10.  I will only allow you all to make up week 4 since that is a test grade as well. 
 
Go back and watch all of my Instagram/ YouTube videos as review before taking this test.

Dear Algebra 1 students,
 
I will be re-posting the assignments from previous weeks (weeks 1 - 5) if they were not completed.  You will be responsible for turning these assignments in by or before May 10, 2020 at 11:59pm.  If I do not have all of your work by that date the missing assignments will be zeros permanently.  
 
Below there's and excel spreadsheet with your weekly grades.  View you class period and complete your missing work.  The assignments posted here are the only ones I will accept.  My posted videos explain everything.  If you have questions you know where to reach me.
 
Failure to complete ALL assigned work by the deadline will be a non-negotiable zero.  This is your last chance; your effort determines your success in this class.

The first page is intended to practice using the quadratic formula.  You are to only submit the second page; that is what will be graded.
 
We will have MANDATORY Zoom meetings this week.  You will receive a 30 point deduction on your assignment should you not log on.  Technology issues must be communicated to me ONE DAY before your meet time.  No exceptions.

WEEK 5
 
All Algebra 1 students are required to complete and submit the weekly assignments by the due date Late submissions will immediately result in a "0" grade.

1. Watch the 'Finding Your Roots' video on YouTube:
 
2. What are Roots??? 
Directions:  Send me 3 different types of roots along with their descriptions via text.  Please include your name and class period in the message.
Example: Valerie (3rd)
                Scalp Roots:  These are roots where your hair grows from.
 
3. Factoring Quadratic Functions (AC Method)
Directions:  Practice factoring with practice problems #1-5 on the first page.  I will demonstrate the first 2 problems via Instagram/YouTube.
 
4. Finding the Zeros (Solutions/Roots)
Directions:  After finding the factors for #1-5 we will go back to those same problems and find the zeros.  I will demonstrate the first 2 problems via Instagram/YouTube.
 
5. Factoring and Finding the Zeros of Quadratic Functions
Directions:  For questions #1-8 on the second page you are to find the factors AND the zeros for all problems.
 
It is your responsibility to ask questions and get the help you need BEFORE the due date.  You must show all of you work in order to receive full credit.  Any submissions with no work shown will be returned, and you will receive a "0" grade if not resubmitted by the deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS

2. Answer the 4 questions from the video posted today. (March 29)
