It is a distinct privilege and pleasure to teach Mandarin at Houston Gateway Academy. This is my ninth year with HGA. Mandarin is the official language in China and Taiwan. This class is provided the opportunity for high school students not only to learn the language, but also the historical rich Chinese cultures. I look forward to giving students a broader understanding, vision, and language advantage in their future career.
In this time where all of our classes are fully online, please be mindful of the progression of your courses and keep track of your posted assignments to the best of your ability.

Late Work
For those of you who have not turned in the first three assignments, please finish them and turn them in to me before Thursday, the 9th. You can still get a passing grade. For everyone who has finished and turned in everything, this week will be used for studying and preparing for the test on Friday.

Hello, we will be having a test this Friday, the 10th. The test will be available starting at 8:00 AM on the Assignments page. Everyone will need to turn it in before 4:00 PM. The content of the test will be from the last 3 assignments and will include writing and speaking portions. Make sure to send it to me in one email or text, like the way you have been sending in your homework. Study hard!
