I am Ms. Tiffany Wright and I currently hold the position as the principal for Houston Gateway Elite Campus PreK-3 through fifth grade. I consider myself a professional educator with diverse experience. My journey began in 2004 after graduating from college and teaching on the secondary level in Houston ISD. I quickly realized working with children and educating their minds was what I was destined to do. This also inspired me to further my education. So, in December 2007 I completed my Master’s Degree in Education Administration. Attending graduate school presented a better insight on the administrative side of things which motivated me into becoming a leader. I have since then taught various grades throughout my career, held different educational positions such as Reading Interventionist, member of the Management Team, and being an Assistant Principal. When I reflect on the many opportunities that I have been granted, I smile within myself for I know I have inspired young lives to become greater. When asked what my motto is, I quickly respond with:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to Change the World” (Nelson Mandela)
My experiences include planning and implementing various activities for promoting physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth for children. I also have experience with developing Math trainings, modeling lessons for educators, conducting small group sessions, analyzing data and developing a plan to improve students’ academic performance, mentoring young educators, and providing leadership to colleagues.
Finally, I am a firm believer that if you love what you are doing, you will continue to nurture that desire. My journey is still in the making…
